Staff Work

The three monarchs
Greetings again everyone.

You will now find tabs across the top of the blog that will lead you to all of the Orders of Battle as found at the start of the Campaign.  The original work credit goes to George F. Nafzinger as these are from his immense collection.

The Troop Strength numbers that you see are the values that have been assigned to each Division (or brigade for some units) that will have a discreet strategic unit in the campaign map.

Laying out the plan ...

  1. Good on you for getting this going MurdocK. It will be interesting to see (and even to play) some of the games that it generates!

  2. Hi MurdocK,

Great to see this up and running! I have been swamped at work but have stolen time here and their to add to my Russians and Austrians (6 Reg, 2Ku, 1Dr, 1Hu...) with some more on their way, including French and Prussians. I hadn't touched the Russians in 10 years or more, now I remember why i liked them!

    1. Awesome that this little project has inspired you to renew your action.

I have plans for the playtest going into action soon after the 15th of November.

    2. "Awesome that this little project..."

That is a curious choice of words: "little project"! "Epic" or "Crazy" might be better ;-)

What does your playtest entail? Map moves coordinated with the collaborators or more?

    3. Still working all that out ...

I see a sample run of the map moving with some opportunity for tabletop battle(s), so that the tabletop players can 'shake off the rust' as it were.

The idea being to find where the early 'bugs' are and have the resolutions worked out so that our action time in 2013 is more about game than mechanics.

    4. MurdocK,

This sounds wise. Actually, more than that, it is probably necessary!.
